Are you an adult who feels like your crooked teeth prevent you from living your fullest life? Would you like to find a solution for a straighter smile without committing to metal braces on your teeth?

If you’re considering orthodontics in Alafaya, FL, you’ll be thrilled with how comfortable and convenient treatment with Invisalign clear braces is!

The first step is to schedule an appointment so Dr. Michaelson can determine if straightening your teeth with Invisalign can benefit you. Once we decide together to move ahead with treatment, we can help you get a straighter smile in three steps.

Step 1: Planning Your Treatment

Planning a treatment involves a comprehensive oral exam where we take digital photos, digital x-rays, and impressions of your teeth. Dr. Michaleson uses this information with 3-D software to digitally plan every step of your treatment.

Step 2: Wearing Your Aligners

An Invisalign lab fabricates as many sets of clear aligners as you will need to achieve the straight smile you want. You’ll return to our Orlando dental office, and we’ll give you several sets of clear aligners. Dr. Michaelson will instruct you to wear them every day, all day, and only remove them to brush, floss, and eat meals.

Oral hygiene is convenient because you don’t have to work around brackets and wires on your teeth. After wearing one set of aligners for about two weeks, you’ll move on to the next. We’ll check on your progress throughout the process, and when you’ve worn all your aligners, your treatment is finished.

Step 3: Wearing Your Retainer

Finishing treatment is exciting because you’ll see the results of all your efforts. The final step in any orthodontic treatment is wearing your retainer as instructed by your Orlando dentist. If you don’t, your teeth will relapse into a crooked position and undo all the results you’ve worked so hard to achieve.
